In January 2026, Contakt approached SevenLab to solve a critical bottleneck in their recruitment process. Their back-office teams and recruiters were spending hours every day on manual data entry, transcribing CV details into their CRM, and struggling to surface the right talent from a growing database. The goal was to create a proof-of-concept web application that would not only automate the administrative burden but also provide an intelligent way to query their talent pool using natural language, ensuring no high-quality candidate is ever overlooked due to poor search filters or outdated records.
The primary challenge was the fragmentation and manual nature of the existing recruitment workflow. Recruiters often started their search from scratch for every new vacancy, even when a perfect match already existed in their own database. Information was often trapped in PDF or Word documents, making it invisible to standard keyword searches. Furthermore, the lack of automated duplicate detection meant the Zoho CRM was becoming cluttered with redundant entries. Manual data entry was also prone to errors, leading to incomplete candidate profiles and a loss of valuable insights like personality traits or specific seniority levels that aren't always explicitly stated in a job title.

SevenLab developed TalentMatch, a comprehensive AI recruitment platform that serves as an intelligent layer over the existing CRM. The system uses advanced LLMs to parse uploaded CVs instantly, extracting structured data including skills, experience, and even psychological insights such as MBTI personality types. This data is then synchronised in real-time with Zoho CRM, featuring built-in SHA-256 hashing for foolproof duplicate detection. To empower recruiters, we integrated ContaktAI, a natural language interface powered by semantic vector search. Instead of rigid filters, recruiters can ask questions like 'Who is a senior developer with React experience near Utrecht?' The system understands the intent behind the query, searching through the vector embeddings of candidate profiles to find the most relevant matches based on context rather than just keywords.
