Storteboom required a more intuitive way for staff to interact with vast amounts of sales data, including volumes, margins, and customer performance. The goal was to move away from manual spreadsheet analysis towards a conversational AI interface that could provide instant, accurate insights and visualisations directly from their database.
The primary hurdle was the complexity and structure of the raw sales data, which required significant transformation from horizontal to vertical formats for effective querying. Furthermore, the system needed to accurately handle specific business logic, such as excluding transport costs, claims, and miscellaneous entries, while correctly mapping forecasted data to CSB numbers to ensure reliable trend analysis.
What SevenLab built
SevenLab developed an autonomous AI agent orchestrator that translates natural language questions into precise SQL queries against a Supabase database. The system features a custom toolset including a SQL execution engine and a dynamic graphing tool, allowing users to generate complex margin analyses and pie charts through a simple chat interface.
